Anchoring comunidad: how first- and continuing-generation Latinx students in STEM engage community cultural wealth

This article from the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education compares the experiences of first-generation and continuing-generation Latinx college students in regards to their forms of capital.  The authors examine the different experiences of first-generation students entering with "community cultural wealth" and continuing-generation students entering with traditional capital. The authors interviewed 16 Latinx college students pursuing STEM degrees at four Northeastern universities.
